Dear Aikidokas,

We are pleased to host our Spring Seminar from 5 – 7 June 2026 at Aikikai Dornbirn www.aikikaidornbirn.at.



Together with Shihan Mark Pickering, we will dedicate several training sessions to the core principles of Aikido — precision, timing, connection, and clarity in technique, as well as working freely from a stable and centred foundation.



A special focus of the seminar will be weapons practice. We will study in depth the weapon teachings of T.K. Chiba Sensei and Morihiro Saito Sensei. This includes work with bokken and jo, cultivating a refined understanding of distance, structure, presence, and the essential relationship between weapons practice and empty-hand technique. Our aim is not only technical accuracy, but the living integration of these traditional principles into our personal practice.
