Who is Jarmo Humalajoki?



Jarmo Humalajoki is a Finnish Aikido instructor with over 20 years of experience in the practice and study of Aikido. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to train with renowned instructors such as Steven Seagal, Larry Reynosa, Haruo Matsuoka, and Jyrki Rytilä. Sensei Jyrki Rytilä serves as the Head Instructor of Takumakai Daitō-ryū Aikijūjutsu in Europe. These experiences have contributed to Jarmo’s understanding of Aikido and have influenced his approach to both training and teaching.

In addition to Aikido, Jarmo works as a lecturer in security education and Head Instructor in use-of-force training. He has over 18 years of experience training security professionals in the use of force, bringing a strong practical perspective to the effectiveness and applicability of his Aikido. His Aikido emphasizes the effectiveness of techniques in practical situations, technical creativity, and the versatile application of Aikido principles.
