Julia Wagner
Julia Wagner (4th Dan Aikikai) started Aikido in 1998 with Matthias Lange and now teaches at his dojo Aikido Zentrum in Hamburg. Her aikido and especially her weapons work (Kashima Shin Ryu Kenjutsu) has been strongly influenced by the late Anita Köhler (6th Dan Aikikai, † 2018).
Julia regularly attends international seminars with Christian Tissier Shihan (8th Dan), his student Pascal Guillemin (6th Dan) and with other teachers including Jorma Lyly (6th Dan) from Stockholm.
Julia is a member of the grading commission of the Aikido Föderation Germany.
At the moment Julia explores the pure movement in her aikido, without adding anything unnecessary. Concentrating on the axis, a clear and precise execution of the techniques, not against but with the partner. Feeling one’s own body as one, and even more importantly, having a quality of contact and communication with the partner so the whole movement feels like a common choice.
Fees:
R300 per session, R950 for the entire weekend
Keiko Sessions:
Fri 31 6 - 7.30pm
Sat 1 10 - 12noon
Sat 1 3 - 5pm
Sun 2 10 - 12 noon
