In January 2025, Nakao Sensei of Seibukan held a seminar in Auckland, New Zealand. The event was organized by Ivan Neziri, who runs a dojo in Auckland. Having once lived in Kobe and trained at Seibukan himself, Ivan was deeply motivated to share Sensei Nakao’s aikido with New Zealand, which led to the realization of this seminar.

Inspired by the seminar, my New Zealand friends decided to visit Seibukan during their trip to Japan, and we were fortunate to join them.

Their itinerary included training at the Hombu Dojo in Tokyo from the beginning of September, traveling through Kyoto and Kobe, and returning to the Hombu Dojo once again. After coordinating schedules, we settled on September 13 (Saturday) to September 15 (Monday, a public holiday) for a two-night, three-day visit.

2025年1月、ニュージーランド・オークランドにて、せいぶ館の中尾先生がセミナーを開催してくださいました。主催はオークランドで道場を運営されているイヴァン・ネヂィリさん。彼は以前神戸に住んでいたことがあり、その際にせいぶ館へ通っていたご縁から、「中尾先生の合気道をニュージーランドに伝えたい」という強い思いで今回のセミナーを実現されたそうです。 

そのセミナーに感銘を受けた私のニュージーランド人の友人が、日本に訪れる際にせいぶ館にも立ち寄ることになり、私たちも同行させていただくことになりました。 

9月上旬に東京に来て本部道場での稽古を経て京都・神戸を巡り、再び本部で稽古を行うというのが彼らの旅程。予定をすり合わせた結果、9月13日（土）から15日（月・祝）の2泊3日で伺うことに決めました。 

~A new season, new encounters, and new learning~

This is the second installment of information on the 2026 seminars led by Nebi Vural Sensei from Turkey. 

In 2026, an impressive total of 31 seminars are scheduled, promising a truly fulfilling year. To make the information easier to follow, we are presenting the schedule in four parts, each covering three months.

〜新しい季節、新しい出会いと学び〜

今回は、トルコ出身のNebi Vural先生による2026年のセミナー情報第二弾です。

2026年には、なんと31回ものセミナーが予定されており、非常に充実した一年となりそうです。皆さまにわかりやすくお届けするため、三か月ごとに4回に分けてご紹介しています。

Nebi Vural先生の最新情報をいち早く共有してくださるbüşra.akdoğanさんには、Aikido Travelの立ち上げ当初から継続的にご協力いただいております。この場をお借りして、いつも温かいご支援をいただき、感謝申し上げます。

Around 8 a.m., we shared our last breakfast with A-san.

She returned to Tokyo, while we set off to explore Kochi area. Having spent three days together, parting felt a little lonely, but with smiles we wished each other a wonderful day ahead.

We rented a car once again, relying on his memory to guide us. Mike told me that when he lived in Kochi, he stayed at the foot of the mountains.

“There’s a temple here.”

Knowing my fondness for shrines and temples, he stopped the car. We climbed the stone steps toward the main hall on the hilltop, and when I turned back, a breathtaking view of the mountain village unfolded before me.

朝８時ごろ、Ａさんと最後の朝食。

彼女は東京へ戻り、私たちは高知市観光へと向かいます。３日間を共に過ごしただけに少し寂しさもありましたが、お互いの素晴らしい一日を祈りつつ、笑顔でお別れしました。

私たちは再びレンタカーを借りて、彼の記憶を頼りに車を走らせます。マイクが高知に住んでいた頃は山のふもとに暮らしていたそうです。

「ここにお寺があるよ」

神社仏閣好きな私を知っている彼は車を止めてくれました。高台の本堂を目指し石段を歩きふと後ろを振り返った瞬間、山里の景色が広がります。

After the seminar wrapped up, feeling fulfilled both physically and emotionally, I had just finished changing when someone kindly approached me.

“Do you know how to get to the venue?”

“Not yet, but I think I can figure it out.”

“In that case, I’ll send you the map.”

Today’s excitement wasn’t just about the seminar. A social gathering was planned for the evening, and the three of us were invited to join.

講習会も終わり、心も身体も満たされた状態で着替えを済ませたところ、優しい声をかけていただきました。

「会場までの行き方、わかる？」

「いえ、まだですが、調べれば多分大丈夫だと思います」

「それなら地図を送るね」

今日の楽しみは講習会だけではありません。その後には懇親会も予定されていて、私たち三人も参加させていただくことになっています。
